Mountain
When Africa’s highest peaks call to you, we have the expertise and the answer to design your journey.
When the summit calls.
Kilimanjaro
“The Roof of Africa”, rising to 5,895 meters, is a magnet for climbers from around the world. There are 8–9 routes to the summit, most approaching from the Tanzanian side, with a few from the Kenyan side. The Marangu Route is the only one offering hut accommodation, while the Machame Route is currently the most popular. Kenor Safaris has experience with Kilimanjaro climbs dating back to 1993.
Mt. Kenya
Mount Kenya lies almost directly on the equator and consists of several peaks, ranging from Midget Peak at 4,700 meters to Batian at 5,199 meters. The mountain area is well suited for classic trekking as well as summit ascents, with several alternative routes available. There are also sections suitable for technical climbing for those who wish to pursue this.
Rwenzori
The Rwenzori Mountains are known as the Mountains of the Moon and are located mainly in southwestern Uganda, along the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is the highest mountain range in Africa. Mount Stanley is also located within the park, and its Margherita Peak—one of Mount Stanley’s twin summits—is Africa’s fourth-highest peak at 5,109 meters. Trekking through these mountains and ascending their slopes is one of the most thrilling experiences you can ever have.
